🔐 Lockbox: Full Terms of Use & Liability Clause
**Disclaimer:** This Application is for novelty purposes ONLY, we do not warrant its use for
mission-critical or financial purposes.
1. Zero-Knowledge Architecture & User Responsibility
- **Zero-Knowledge:** We do not store, see, or have access to your passphrase. All encryption keys are derived client-side or in memory during transactions.
- **Data Recovery:** Due to the ZK design, we cannot, under any circumstances, recover forgotten passphrases, re-send lost Magic Links, or restore expired or deleted lockers.
- **Key Management:** The user is solely responsible for managing and safeguarding their passphrase and Magic Link. Loss of either element results in permanent, irreversible loss of data.
2. Service Provision (AS-IS)
- **AS-IS Service:** Lockbox is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- **No Liability:** We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, income, or goodwill, resulting from the use or inability to use the service, even if caused by system bugs, server failure, or other operational issues.
3. Prohibited Content & Cooperation
- **Prohibited Use:** You must not use Lockbox to store any content that is illegal, defamatory, infringes upon intellectual property rights, or violates any applicable laws or regulations, including but not limited to Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
- **Cooperation:** While we maintain ZK, we will fully cooperate with valid law enforcement requests and court orders. We reserve the right to delete any locker immediately and without notice if legally required to do so.
4. Data Deletion Policy
- **72-Hour Timer:** All lockers are configured to expire after 72 hours.
- **Irreversible Purge:** Upon expiration or user-initiated deletion, the encrypted data is **cryptographically shredded and digitally purged** from our queueing systems and Redis caches. There are no off-site or archival backups.
